ALI HADLA , CHEF DE CUISINE AT AL LIWAN SHARQ VILLAGE AND SPA
Doha – 8 August 2008 – Ali Hadla has been appointed Chef de Cuisine at Sharq Village and Spa. Chef Ali, will oversee the planning, preparation and execution of Arabic menus and dishes for Al Liwan, the hotel’s all day dining restaurant as well as the In-Room Dining orders of the 174 room luxury beachfront resort managed by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company B.V.. Following in the footsteps of his father and uncles who are professional chefs and hoteliers, his passion and palate for Middle Eastern cuisine was instinctively developed since childhood. Upon graduation from the Institute Hotelier Forn Alsibbak in Lebanon, Chef Ali embarked on a career in the culinary arts which took him into the kitchens of international hotels and restaurants across the region where he has mastered and refined his approach to preparing authentic Arabic recipes. Amongst his favourite dishes to prepare are halloumi with avocado, mint pesto and tomato confit moussakaa as well as charcoal-grilled veal tenderloin marinated with Arabic herbs and spices. Before joining Sharq Village and Spa, he was the chef de cuisine at Hotel JAL Fujairah Resort and Spa as well as the Ajman Kempinski Hotel in the United Arab Emirates, and Al Ahsa Intercontinental in Saudi Arabia and the Hazmieh Rotana in Beirut.
